We happily invite you to Open Sandberg 2023, our yearly open day, which will take place on Thursday, February 2, 2023, between 1–7pm (CEST), both in person at our campus at Fred. Roeskestraat 96, Amsterdam, and online through our dedicated Open Sandberg website. Visitors are welcome to visit the studios of the departments—main departments Critical Studies, Design, Dirty Art Department, Fine Arts, and Studio for Immediate Spaces, and current temporary programs Blacker Blackness, Ecologies of Transformation, F for Fact, and Re:master Opera—and learn about our new incoming temporary programs, Artificial Times and Planetary Poetics.
There will be several guided tours throughout the day and also presentations from the Theory Stairs with performances and information about the different courses and things happening in the school. For those looking in online: these presentations will be livestreamed; there will be scheduled Zoom Q&A sessions with each department and others in the institution; and an Instagram Live tour of the school at 4pm will give a more candid look into what’s happening in each department. The full schedule will be shared in late January on our Open Sandberg website.
Apply now
Applications are now open and will run until April 1, 2023! We are taking applications for our five main departments—Critical Studies, Design, Dirty Art Department, Fine Arts, and Studio for Immediate Spaces—and two new temporary programs—Artificial Times and Planetary Poetics. Apply here.
