From May 4 to August 7, Take Me (I’m Yours), a collective and interactive exhibition which brings together the works of 28 international artists, is turning the palace of Kunsthal Charlottenborg’s 19th century rooms into a venue for free and creative exchange, designed to unsettle the relationship between a work of art and its viewer. Displayed in Kunsthal Charlottenborg, the exhibition is an opportunity to revisit the myth of the unique artwork and question its methods of production. Visitors are invited, even encouraged, to touch, use and take away the artists’ projects and ideas.

The exhibition curators, Christian Boltanski and Hans Ulrich Obrist, have taken the original principle which motivated them in 1995 at the Serpentine Gallery and brought it up to date. They were joined first by Chiara Parisi, director of Cultural Programmes at Monnaie de Paris, who showed a new and extended version of the exhibition in the autumn of 2015, and now by Michael Thouber, director at Kunsthal Charlottenborg, who in collaboration with the curator team will present a new version for Copenhagen.

Take Me (I’m Yours) at Kunsthal Charlottenborg in Copenhagen brings a new perspective to the exhibition by inviting the MFA Degree Students of The Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts into the show beside 28 artists from the show in London and Paris: Christian Boltanski, James Lee Byars, Jeremy Deller, Maria Eichhorn, Jef Geys, Gilbert & George, Felix Gonzalez-Torres, Douglas Gordon, Christine Hill, Jonathan Horowitz, Fabrice Hyber, Carsten Höller, Koo Jeong A, Franck Krawzyk, Angelika Markul, Gustav Metzger, Otobong Nkanga, Yoko Ono, Philippe Parreno, point d’ironie, Daniel Spoerri, Wolfgang Tillmans, Rirkrit Tiravanija, Amalia Ulman, Franco Vaccari, Danh Võ, Lawrence Weiner & Franz West.


MFA Degree Show 2016

From June 3 to August 7, the MFA Degree Show, the annual exhibition for graduates from The Royal Danish Academy of Fine Art’s Schools of Visual Arts, is on display at Kunsthal Charlottenborg. Brian Eno​: The Ship
From June 12 to August 7, Brian Eno’s sound art installation The Ship will be exhibited at Kunsthal Charlottenborg. The Ship is the first solo exhibition of Brian Eno in Denmark since 1992. The work is a comprehensive sound installation that evolves over time. The Ship is specially designed by Brian Eno to the room it is displayed in at Kunsthal Charlottenborg. Brian Eno has not only a great career as a musician, composer and producer, but is also a famous visual artist. Brian Eno was educated at Ipswich School of Art, and his works have been exhibited in leading art institutions around the world.

All exhibitions are supported by The Danish Arts Foundation. Take Me (I’m Yours) is realised in collaboration with Monnaie de Paris. The MFA Degree Show 2016 is realised in collaboration with The Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts and supported by Chart Art Fair, 15.
