Foundwork is pleased to announce the international open call and jury for the 2022 Foundwork Artist Prize, its annual award and grant program to recognize outstanding practices by emerging and mid-career artists. Artists working in any media are eligible, and the Prize is open to artists residing anywhere in the world with limited exceptions. The deadline to register is September 26, 2022.
This year, one honoree will receive an unrestricted 10,000 USD grant and studio visits with each of the distinguished jurors. In addition, the honoree and three shortlisted artists will each be invited for interviews as part of the Foundwork Dialogues program to further public engagement with their work.
The jury for the 2022 Foundwork Artist Prize includes the following dynamic curators, gallerists, and artists: Edgar Arcenaux, Multidisciplinary Artist, Los Angeles; César García-Alvarez, Founding Executive & Artistic Director, The Mistake Room, Los Angeles; Lauren Kelly, Partner and Director, Sean Kelly Gallery, New York; Eva Langret, Director, Frieze London; Javier Peres, Founder, Peres Projects, Berlin, Milan, and Seoul.

Foundwork membership costs 4 USD per month and can be canceled at any time. To be considered for the 2022 Prize, artists must register and maintain a published artist profile on the Foundwork website, with at least six artworks and an artist statement published on their profile page, throughout the selection period: 5pm PT, September 26, 2022—5pm PT, December 31, 2022.
