Angewandte Festival 2022

With the Angewandte Festival the University of Applied Arts Vienna publicly presents at the end of the academic year all that evolves, fails and succeeds at the university. From June 28 to July 1, 2022, we open our buildings and invite visitors to our “castles of air”. This year’s visual design that was developed by students of the Graphic Design Department underlines what will be shown in the exhibitions of the artistic departments: we question the existing and work out models for sustainable, peaceful, cooperative, and collaborative futures with artistic, scientific and transdisciplinary means that straddle the abstract, concrete, pleasurable and critical. This is also done with this year’s temporary design for the square at Oskar-Kokoschka-Platz by Stefan Diez and team, who developed recycled solar panel installations to incite innovative uses of solar energy in public spaces. 

Exhibitions in the main university buildings as well as in venues around the city will be accompanied by a multidisciplinary program. Information about the program will be available online at angewandtefestival.at from June 20.

Angewandte Abschluss Arbeiten (AAA) summer 2022
The majority of the final theses are exhibited in the university buildings as part of the festival. Since winter semester 21/22 the final theses of Angewandte are presented digitally at here—the website grows with each semester. 

Infopoint (OKP)
The Infopoint (OKP) is located at Oskar-Kokoschka-Platz 2, 1010 Vienna, next to the main entrance of the University. It is the meeting point for all tours and guided tours, unless otherwise indicated. The Infopoint is staffed during the opening hours of the exhibitions and the print festival guides are available there.
