At the end of every semester, the Faculty of Architecture, Building and Planning at the University of Melbourne hosts a faculty-wide exhibition showcasing design innovation from the next generation of built environment professionals.
MSDx Summer 2021 is a virtual exhibition, highlighting hundreds of pieces of student work from postgraduate and undergraduate studios.
Tackling the challenges facing our cities and natural habitat, including climate change, sustainability, equitable housing, reconciliation, resilience and post-pandemic cities, students have used design strategically to develop tactical responses.
Projects explore complex problems and pose tangible solutions across broad scales in multidisciplinary contexts, with works ranging from highly speculative propositions to more practice-oriented efforts, from small design interventions to large urban proposals and beyond.
Through the virtual exhibition, attendees can explore each studio’s carefully curated digital space through interactive digital environments, videos, images, digital models, plans, virtual fly-throughs, renders and artworks.
