As the Head of Fine Art, you will be responsible for advancing the contribution of the Department and championing art for the creative enrichment and cultural sustainability of our communities. Leading an outstanding team of artists, curators and theorists, the role will shape the art school for ongoing vitality and financial sustainability in a highly competitive art education environment. You will be a key member of the Faculty Executive reporting to the Dean of Monash Art, Design and Architecture.
With a thorough understanding of the higher education context, you will foster engagement by Fine Art across the university including the development of interdisciplinary activities and lead the department’s dialogue and practice with external partners. Monash University is seeking an exceptional leader, with a doctoral qualification or equivalent accreditation and extensive experience as a creative practitioner. You will be an individual who inspires others, with a strong vision for the role of Fine Art in a comprehensive university.
