In celebration of her 75th birthday, the Kunstverein Hannover and the Sprengel Museum Hannover are staging a large overview exhibition of the works of the artist Christiane Möbus. In more than 50 years of artistic output, Möbus has produced a body of work that finds expression in a variety of media—from installations and objects to photographic works and films.
seitwärts über den Nordpol presents the wide-ranging oeuvre of an outstanding artist who transposes familiar ideas, images and objects into new contexts to reveal a humorous and sometimes melancholic view of the world. In this large retrospective occupying a total of 2000 square meters, the curators Kathleen Rahn and Gabriele Sand pay tribute to an artist who has influenced generations of artists with her life’s work and her many years of teaching.
