Henry Darger’s watercolors that are featured in the exhibition “Disasters of War” are illustrations to a 15,000 page text he wrote on an imaginary war between the Vivan Girls and the evil Glandolinians. Every half hour, a performer will guide visitors through the show by reciting memorized excerpts from the manuscript, and giving a “docent tour” of the works in Darger’s own (often eccentric) words.
