Manege Central Exhibition Hall presents NEW NOW—an investigation into the present moment and exploration of possible scenarios of our shared future.
A variety of perspectives and unconstrained visions from leading contemporary theorists and practitioners.
“The trigger to the programme is the absolute uniqueness of the present moment. Humanity as a whole is facing the necessity to analyse its history and where it has led us. In other words, how the evolution of humanity as we know it has brought us to reconsider the most fundamental values and human needs. And the particularity of the present moment is this, whether we will be able to control our fate and what scenarios are we going to explore in our shared future,” says Anna Kirikova, creator of the programme.
NEW NOW season 21/22 includes eight thematic modules. Neomythologies, Mental Health, New Eco-thinking, Transhumanism, Body and Identity, Reality and Post-Truth(s), Technology and the Limits of Freedom, New Concept of Happiness. Each theme is accompanied with a list of supplemental materials for a full-fledged self-led immersion into each of them.
