Moderna Museet in Stockholm – Reopening on February 14
Our doors open on Saturday, 14 February at 10 am, and the actual inauguration ceremony takes place at 12 noon. Prime Minister Goran Persson and Minister of Culture Marita Ulvskog will talk at the ceremony, together with Moderna Museet director Lars Nittve. At 12 noon, Goran Kaijfes will play a fanfare.
All exhibition halls will be open throughout the day, showing the Moderna Museet Collection, the Pontus Hulten Collection…, and Anna Riwkin – Portrait of a Photographer, and, last but not least, the new works by Yinka Shonibare in the entrance hall. The Shop and Restaurant will be open all day, until the museum closes at 10 pm. On Sunday, 15 February, Moderna Museet will be open 10 am to 6 pm. Admission is free to Moderna Museet with the exception of two exhibitions in 2004 (out of 19 exhibitions). These are Karl Isakson, May 15-August 29, and Fashination, September 25-January 23, 2005. Admission is always free to the Moderna Museet Collection.
