Paris Photo, the largest international art fair dedicated to photography and photo-based art opens in two weeks under the Eiffel tower at the newly constructed Grand Palais Ephémère in Paris. Platform conversation series
Join leading figures in the field for four days of conversations opening with discussions on emerging photography led by Shoair Mavlian, Curiosa sector curator, followed by a round table on the national photographic commission project Regards du Grand Paris organized by Pascal Beausse (Cnap). Friday, the Elles x Paris Photo series is presented in collaboration with the French Ministry of Culture with the support of Kering I Women in Motion. Nathalie Herschdorfer, programme curator, explores critical issues in the field. On Saturday, a conversation led by Marc Donnadieu (art critic, curator) on brut photography and a round-table discussion moderated by Taous Dahmani (historian, researcher, art critic) on merging territories between photography and music. The program closes on Sunday with photography and cinema, a talk between Dominique Païni (film critic) and Alain Fleischer (photographer), and a two-part series on the photographic condition organized by Pascale Krief (art critic, curator). Conversations run daily at the fair and are presented in both French and English with simultaneous translation available.
Artist talks by The Eyes
For more intimate short-format discussions focusing on editorial projects, the artist talks conceived and presented by The Eyes magazine welcome 36 artists including Antoine D’Agata, Omar Victor Diop, Gregory Halpern, Diana Markosian, Mame-Diarra Niang, SMITH, Rebecca Norris Webb, and more. The Artist Talks are presented three times daily in either French or English.
Photobook Awards
Don’t miss the announcement of the winners of the Paris Photo Aperture Foundation PhotoBook Awards Friday, November 12 at 3pm at Paris Photo in the Book sector. See the short-listed titles exhibited at the Fair.

The Media Lounge brings together the world’s best publications in the field of photography, arts and culture. Off-site screenings & exhibitions
Don’t miss the Paris Photo Carte Blanche Students, a large-format exhibition presented with Picto Foundation and SNCF Gares et Connexions on view at Paris’ Gare du Nord Train station from November 4th to December 15th. Silencio-des-Près cinema presents in collaboration with Paris Photo an evening programme of screenings November 11, 13 and 14th featuring Alexander Kunetsov and Viviane Maier.
