Artissima—the international fair for contemporary art—will return in Turin from November 5 to 7, featuring the works by international artists presented by 155 galleries from 37 countries. Discover the complete list of the 2021 exhibitors here.

The unique character of Artissima stems from its dual approach, combining a market proposal at the highest level with a cultural offering capable of investigating new and different ways of presenting art inside the fair (fair) and outside (in town).
Fair:
Hub India: geographic focus
Hub India—Maximum Minimum is a new geographical focus of Artissima 2021 curated by Myna Mukherjee and Davide Quadrio and in collaboration with Emami Art, that sets out to offer a panoramic look at the startling visual culture that reflects the countless polarities, contradictions and dualities that comprise India. On the occasion of Artissima, Hub India will expand in town, with a tripartite museums show titled Classical Radical at Palazzo Madama, MAO, and the Accademia Albertina di Belle Arti di Torino.
Vitality of time
In collaboration with Intesa Sanpaolo, main partner of the fair, and Gallerie d’Italia, the fair will host the exhibition Vitality of time. The art collections of Intesa Sanpaolo, a selection of important works of the group’s collections of 20th and 21st century art curated by Luca Massimo Barbero, Associate Curator of the bank’s collections of modern and contemporary art.
JaguArt
JaguArt, the voyage in pursuit of young talents that began in 2019 thanks to the dialogue between Artissima and Jaguar, will culminate with the announcement of the absolute winner during the course of the 28th edition of Artissima. The group show Sustainable revolution of the ten finalists will be presented at the fair and the audience will be able to vote for their favourite artist.
Nunca encontramos a Satoshi
Nunca encontramos a Satoshi is the name of the Caribbean bar envisioned by Radamés “Juni” Figueroa, winner of the illy Present Future 2020 Prize supported by illycaffè: a colourful, bright work of architecture is at the core of the work, a vernacular location that functions simultaneously as a dance floor and a gathering point.
Torino Social Impact Art Award
During Artissima the works by the winners of the two editions of the Torino Social Impact Art Award (Liryc Dela Cruz and Caterina Erica Shanta in 2020; Monia Ben Hamouda and the MRZB collective in 2021) will be presented, in a project that confirms the commitment of the fair and Torino Social Impact to the support of young artists.
Artissima XYZ: the collective exhibitions
From November 5 to 7, Artissima XYZ will present three physical exhibitions at the fair with works selected from each of the 30 artists participating in Present Future, Back to the Future and Disegni. The exhibitions are a sort of IRL pop-up of the cross-media platform xyz.artissima.art that hosts the curated section of Artissima since 2020: a digital space offering video, photo and text contents to explore the work of all the main players involved: galleries, artists, curators. Artissima XYZ, with the support of Fondazione Compagnia di San Paolo, stems directly from Artissima Digital, the digital eco-system of the fair since 2017.
Beyond Production
Artissima and Fondazione per l’Arte Moderna e Contemporanea CRT announce Beyond Production—a conceptual platform capable of stimulating and fostering reflections on the most innovative trends of contemporary art—and in 2021 launch the new project Surfing NFT in synergy with the OGR Award and in collaboration with professionals of the digital and legal sector, Artshell and LCA. Concentrating on the complex and sophisticated relationship between art, technology and innovation, Surfing NFT invites the contemporary artists presented by the galleries of Artissima to experiment the production of a work using NFTs (“Non Fungible Token”) and the blockchain technology.
In town:
Rimbalzi
Rimbalzi (meaning rebounds, ricochets), features images from the Archivio Publifoto Intesa Sanpaolo and from the photography section of the bank’s Historical Archives. The show, curated by Barbara Costa, head of the historical archive of Intesa Sanpaolo, and Ilaria Bonacossa, will be on show at Grattacielo Intesa Sanpaolo and available also online at artissima.art from November 3 to December 5. As the title indicates, the leitmotif of the selection of images will be the theme of the “rebound”, seen as a movement connected with a ball, an iconic object capable of crossing epochs and representing cultures, associated with the idea of play and sport.
6 CHAIRS
The ballroom of the historic Hotel Principi di Piemonte | UNA Esperienze, in the centre of Turin, welcomes for the second time in collaboration with Artissima a new site-specific contemporary art installation by the Lithuanian artist Augustas Serapinas. 6 CHAIRS of various materials assembled like a fantastic project of bricolage in which architecture meets a do-it-yourself aesthetic are raised to a height of almost two meters, similar to the chairs of lifeguards or those of tennis umpires.
What a Combo—Art and music Artissima Lounge
Combo, an innovative hospitality format continues its partnership with Artissima and offers its creative hub in the centre of the city as a gathering place for Artissima’s audience during the fair.
