We were invited to do an exhibition.
Later on, it was explained to us that usually there is some kind of bar for the opening, and that maybe we could re-open the window in the back room, that was closed up some time ago, and the windows in the front room, which should be able to open up, but for which there is no key.
One day we saw some photos of the previous exhibition’s buildup in the front room, and noticed a visual resemblance between the two main materials, which made it seem obvious that we should use them to make the bar, there.
It reminded us of some of our projects, where we also used two materials with a visual resemblance, which made us think, this being an exhibition on our work, and still having the unused back room, it would make sense to display those material diptychs there.
And then, we felt it was reasonable for a window to sometimes be open, so that is what we did.
