Asia Culture Center(ACC) is a platform for creation and research that supports new ideas, expansion and interdisciplinary research and exchange. This year, ACC invites researchers and creators living in Korea to its ACC_R Residency programs.

Schedule
–Open call: May 24–June 20, 2021; application submission from 10am. Submission closes at 11:59pm Korean Time
–Document review: June 28–July 2, 2021
–Short list announcement: July 7, 2021
–Interview: July 21–26, 2021
–Final announcement of participants: July 30, 2021

The schedule of selection process and duration of residency differ by programs. Please refer to the application guideline of each program.
Mandatory obligations for participants
–To submit proof of a negative COVID-19 test (PCR)
–To submit accident or travel insurance certificate covering the residency period
–To reside in Gwangju (minimum 12 days per month) and conduct project based on the provided studio space
–To take part in ACC_R exchange programs (including orientation, workshop, research tour and networking programs)
–To submit residency outcomes and make showcases or presentations (further information below)

Selection
–Selection criteria: designated selection committee will select the participant who has submitted the project plan and portfolio that embody the idea and fit for the purpose of the program.
–Selection process: (1st) Document review; (2nd) PT and interview; Final selection and announcement (July 30)

–1 copy of Portfolio (all forms including doc, PPT, video, URL, etc)
For video, include the link of YouTube or Vimeo in the portfolio file. The length of the video should not exceed 5 minutes

Submission Method: Email submission

–Email submission only / post and on-site submission will not be accepted
–Should you have any problem, please contact the team in charge
–Applications should be received by 23:59 KST(Korean Standard Time) on the due date; for further information, please refer to the application guidelines.
Notice
–Any deliberate omission or false information found in the application may lead to revocation of selection or other disadvantages.
–The project that has been already supported by ACC or another institution will not be considered. If such a case is found later, the selection can be revoked.
–Candidates who are or will be participating in another residency program during this program cannot apply.
–Applicants who have participated the same program twice in the past cannot apply.
–The participant is fully liable for any intellectual property rights dispute with third parties.
Selection will be revoked if the selected applicant is found to have used another person’s idea without permission or infringed another person’s intellectual property rights.
–Participants must follow the general regulations and confirm this by signing a separate agreement.
–Policy regarding the copyright of the work differs by program.
