The University of Houston School of Art is pleased to announce Moving Forward, an exhibition of work made by artists and designers from the MFA class of 2020.

The exhibition will be hosted by the Anya Tish Gallery and Gray Contemporary from July 3–17, with a reception on July 10. For the reception both galleries will be open from 1–5pm, allowing ample time to visit each exhibition space in Houston’s lively arts districts.

The artists and designers of the class of 2020 spent three intense years developing their work anticipating the Masters of Fine Arts thesis exhibition, only to have the exhibition cancelled due to the pandemic. Moving Forward is taking place a little more than a year after the original date for their exhibition; this July see the culmination of the 2020 cohort’s three-year journey at the University and the many works these artist and designers have created since emerging into Houston’s vibrant culture scene.

Included in the exhibition: Qindeel Butt, Daniel Calderon, Claire Elestwani, Reema, Simon Gonzales, Rylee Henson, Erin Joyce, Josh Litos, Amira Maruf, Hyun Park, Jose Chavero Rivera, Jamie Robertson, Twin LoversErick Zambrano
