Developing on our previous course, MA Art Market & Appraisal, this course puts Art Business at its core with students benefiting from an exciting and pioneering partnership between Kingston School of Art and Kingston Business School. This unique cross-faculty collaboration enhances the learning experience and professional development of students through state-of-the-art resources, industry insights and leading academic teaching staff from both arts and business expertise. Students further benefit from access to both the art school campus and the Business School and all the benefits of the wider Kingston University community.

Making the most of its location in Europe’s art-market capital in London, this Art Business MA degree draws on a high standard of interdisciplinary academic and practical teaching by recognised scholars and practitioners. It offers direct insights from a variety of art-market professionals, including those with longstanding careers through to those who are rising entrepreneurs of the millennial generation. The curriculum balances academic rigor of core art and business topics combined with industry-specific knowledge, along with providing professional development and skills training for students to reflect the diverse professional landscape of the industry today. Students benefit from frequent field trips to art business enterprises and take part in live partnership projects to enable the realities of working and to offer networking opportunities. This course enables students to prepare for the exciting opportunities this global industry presents in an ever-changing context.
