Award-winning artists join Plymouth College of Art on postgraduate programmes.
Plymouth College of Art is home to a cross-disciplinary community of makers and thinkers, all seeking a critical space in which to interrogate and push the boundaries of their specialist creative interests and working practices, at a time when the world needs creatives more than ever.
We welcome recent UK and international graduates, as well as established practitioners who are already active in their specialist fields. There’s a rich suite of MA programmes available, including a route through to our MFA programme. Our academics and invited expert practitioners collaborate to explore radical approaches to an expanded creative practice, that propose new critical approaches to the relationships between topics that include social justice and creative learning, material exploration and interdisciplinary experimentation.
Our Postgraduate Centre is located in Studio 44, a few minutes walk from Plymouth College of Art’s main-campus.The centre provides flexible teaching, study and display spaces dedicated to postgraduate students.
Students have welcomed the college’s newest appointment, Richard Kenton Webb, as Senior Lecturer and Subject Tutor in MA Painting, Printmaking and Drawing. Richard has been announced as winner of the prestigious international Sunny Art Prize 2020. Richard said: “It was unbelievable to win such a prestigious art prize! I feel very excited about the possibilities and potential international collaborations that this award opens up, for both myself and Plymouth College of Art.”

Mohini’s work as an artist deals with articulations of identity and globalized spaces, and the role of the photographic in relation to memory and migration. She has an interest in photographic histories and the processes of visual culture within colonial, anthropological and ethnographic discourses and the imagery of contemporary globalized cultures.
Having previously worked across the Asia-Pacific region in search of diasporic narratives, her recent project Paradise Lost examines the complexities of colonial seafaring through the archaeology of shipwrecks, with a forthcoming solo show supported by Arts Council England at MIRROR, Plymouth College of Art’s new gallery platform.
She has exhibited in venues such as the Asia Society and Museum, the Queens Museum, the Courtauld Institute of Art, the Whitechapel Art Gallery, the Centre for Contemporary Photography as well as the First Johannesburg Biennale, Photo Kathmandu and in Now! Now! at Chelsea College of Art (presented by Iniva and BAM).
