Praxis Clinic
If you can’t make it in person, connect with us through our Praxis Clinic on October 30 via Zoom. In the Praxis Clinic, you’ll meet Transart advisors and alumni to discuss your practice, get solid, actionable feedback so that you can fine-tune your MFA or PhD proposal and take your creativity to the next level. Sign up for the Praxis Clinic or Open Window in-person individual meetings in NY here.

Open Window events
The last weekend of every month the institute opens the window on our sessions briefly to share with alumni and the public part of what takes place in our topic-based intensives for our students. See the full program for upcoming talks: TT Intensive Program.

One-year MFA (new)
Liverpool John Moores University (LJMU) and Transart Institute (TT) are launching a new unique, low-residency, one-year Master of Fine Arts (MFA) beginning in 2022. The MFA Creative Practice is for anyone with an advanced creative practice with a specific research project or question/s they want to examine to develop their work. The MFA is a self-directed, creative research-based project in which writing is an integral contributor, culminating in a public presentation, including exhibition, a publication, reading, performance, screening, or other forms of dissemination of new work and thesis.

Academy Sessions (new)
Academy courses are for anyone with a specific project or question/s they want to examine to develop their work. The Academy will offer both 3 and 6 month trans-local, non-credit courses of supported, independent creative research. With both the Praxis Deep Dive and Praxis Propellor courses, expect to connect and exchange with an international group of creative practitioners and researchers in intimate scale settings. With the Praxis Propeller stream, you may orient your trajectory to segue into an MFA or PhD program or any other endeavour in which a well-considered proposal is a pre-requisite. Artists, designers, curators, writers, and other creative researchers attend the Praxis Deep-dive for a creative surge, revitalising their practice, gaining fresh perspectives on their work, experimenting in a supportive environment and possibly striking out in new directions.

Practice PhD
Our low-residency Practice PhD is for everyone with a specific research project or question/s they want to examine to bring their creativity to the highest level. The Creative Research PhD is self-directed, project-based research. Writing is an integral contributor, culminating in submitting a thesis, including a presentation, an exhibition, a publication, reading, performance, screening, or other forms of dissemination. In this practice doctoral program, your creative work is the research. The Practice PhD is also delivered in partnership with LJMU.
