it clings like a leech features work by 2021 MFA degree candidates in Sculpture: Cameron Clayborn, Kevin Hernández Rosa, Diana Sofia Lozano, Amina Ross, and Audrey Ryan. On view March 6–11 in Green Hall Gallery, it clings like a leech offers an experiment in alternative worldmaking and an online exhibition is now available at itclings.yaleschoolofart.org. This collaboration features writing by Alex Fialho, Josie Roland Hodson, Tobi Kassim, Nora Mitchell Rosengarten, Rachel Mei Ling Tang, Alexandra M. Thomas, and Joseph Zordan. The exhibition identity for it clings like a leech was created by Luiza Dale, Graphic Design MFA ‘21, and Avery Youngblood, Graphic Design MFA ‘23.
To Hear No Echo features work by 2021 MFA degree candidates in Sculpture: Armando Cortés, Sae Jun Kim, Jeenho Seo, Hyeree Ro, Freddy Villalobos, and Stella Zhong. On view in Green Hall Gallery March 22–28, To Hear No Echo has an online exhibition launched last week at sculpture.yaleschoolofart.org. The online exhibition features writing around the artworks by Harry Burke, Adela Kim, Kevin Hong, Carlos Valladares, Nathalie Miraval, Kaeun Park, Elies Popa, and Swagato Chakravorty. The exhibition identity for To Hear No Echo was created by Mengyi Qian and Minhwan Kim, Graphic Design MFAs ‘21.
The Yale School of Art’s annual MFA thesis exhibitions are the culmination of two years of intensive artistic development, showcasing the results of a studio-based education that stresses the significance of critical practice. In keeping with the university’s COVID safety guidelines, the physical installation of the 2021 MFA thesis shows are on view to current members of the School of Art community in the school’s Green Hall Gallery.
