Remai Modern is a new museum of modern and contemporary art in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. Open since October 2017, Remai Modern is one of Canada’s leading art museums, housing a collection of more than 8,000 works, including the world’s foremost collection of Picasso linocut prints. Remai Modern is a thought leader and direction-setting art museum that boldly collects, develops, presents and interprets the art of our time. We enable transformative experiences by connecting art with local and global communities. Our award-winning building includes 11 gallery spaces, a 150-seat theatre, a restaurant, outdoor terraces, and rooms with stunning views of the South Saskatchewan River.
Since mid-2020, the organization has been led by Co-Executive Director and CEO, Aileen Burns and Johan Lundh, who are now seeking a Head of Exhibitions and Collections to lead and manage a dedicated curatorial team. The department consists of Rose Bouthillier, Curator (Exhibitions), Sandra Fraser, Curator (Collections), Tarah Hogue, Curator (Indigenous Art), Troy Gronsdahl, Associate Curator (Live Programs), and Donald Roach, Exhibitions Manager.
This will be an exciting time to join Remai Modern as the organization is currently setting strategic priorities for the next five years. Candidates should have experience leading a team, managing budgets, engaging stakeholders, delivering complex projects, developing timely and innovative curatorial projects.
