The European Graduate School (EGS) October program is almost upon us, and once again we have a superb set of seminars planned with distinguished faculty such as: Sha Xin Wei, Daniel Birnbaum, Manthia Diawara and Terri Geis, Judith Butler, Boris Groys, Keller Easterling, Achille Mbembe, Lars Iyer, Peter Szendy, Carlos Amorales, and Gayatri Spivak. For the schedule, you can visit our website here.
The deadline looms, but it is still possible to submit an application to one of our MA or PhD programs in Philosophy, Art and Social Thought, or Literary, Musical, and Visual Thought. To apply, click here.
At this moment, however, we are especially eager to be sure that you know of the possibility of auditing an EGS seminar. The online platform for 2020 makes it possible for us to open our seminars to the public for the first time. As an auditor, individuals have access to six lectures with accompanying discussions—unique events unfolding over three days that will not be otherwise available. The cost per seminar is 350 dollars. This is an exceptional opportunity to experience what it means to study in the company of the celebrated faculty of the EGS. You may register for this auditing opportunity here. Individuals who audit four courses qualify for a certificate of online study. The deadline for registration is 24 hours before any particular course.
The online seminars of the July and August session this year had a special intensity by reason of the contemporary global crises. We anticipate that all participants in October (including faculty) will again have the sense that our seminars are serving an urgent need. You are most welcome to join us.
