Zilberman is proud to announce the representation of Sim Chi Yin.
Sim Chi Yin is an artist from Singapore whose research-based practice includes photography, moving image, archival interventions and text-based performance, and focuses on memory, history, conflict, and some of the most pressing issues of our time. She is currently based in London and Beijing.
Chi Yin was commissioned as the Nobel Peace Prize photographer in 2017 and created the solo show, Fallout, 2017, for the Nobel Peace Centre museum in Oslo on nuclear weapons, combining video installation and still photography. Her work has been exhibited in solo shows One Day We’ll Understand (Hanart TZ Gallery, Hong Kong, 2019) and Most People Were Silent (Institute of Contemporary Arts, Singapore, 2018), and in group shows at the 15th Istanbul Biennial: a good neighbour (curators: Elmgreen & Dragset, Istanbul, Turkey, 2017), Family Report (Gyeonggi Museum of Modern Art, Seoul, South Korea, 2017), and the Annenberg Space for Photography (Los Angeles, USA, 2015).
Chi Yin is a nominee member of Magnum Photos and is currently also doing a visual practice-based PhD at King’s College London.
