Paris Photo continues its commitment to women in photography with Elles x Paris Photo, a program initiated in 2019 in partnership with the French Ministry of Culture to promote the visibility of women artists and their contribution to the history of photography. For this edition, Nathalie Herschdorfer, art historian, professor of the history of photography at the Swiss art school ECAL in Lausanne and director of the Museum of Fine Arts Le Locle, Switzerland, will spotlight a selection of works online and at the fair by women artists and the galleries that support them. Selected artists will benefit from additional exposure on ellesxparisphoto.com, a dedicated website and resource space continuously updated with interviews, articles and statistical data on the representation of women photographers.
Paris Photo is proud to continue its commitment to photographic creation with the Carte Blanche Students and the Paris Photo-Aperture Foundation PhotoBook Awards, alongside its official partners, BMW with the BMW Arts & Culture Residency, and J.P.
