The Rundgang is the traditional annual exhibition for the students of the University of Fine Arts Münster. It consists of presentations by the respective artistic classes as well as projects and works by groups or individual students, which are exhibited outside the class’ studios. This Rundgang’s curatorial team is led by Prof. Mariana Castillo Deball and Prof. Nicoline van Harskamp.
Rundgang 2020 is accompanied by a supporting program called Das Nest (The Nest) which includes discussions, readings and musical or artistic performances. For this purpose, students built a temporary environment in the foyer of the academy, developed and designed in a workshop by industrial designer Rodolfo Sampiero.
Three guests are invited to open Das Nest with public discussions about the works on show in the Rundgang: head of visual arts, DAAD Artists-in-Berlin Program Melanie Roumiguière, director of KW Institute for Contemporary Art Krist Gruijthuijsen, and gallerist Barbara Wien. On Thursday February 6th, from 2 pm to 4 pm, they will reflect on the exhibited works in a public meeting.
In the subsequent days there is a daily program of events initiated by students and staff. Up to date program information about events in Das Nest can be found in the online calender or directly on site. General Rundgang program information can be found here.
Opening hours: Wednesday, February 5 from 7pm to 11pm and Thursday, February 6 until Sunday, February 9 from 10am to 8pm
Deadline for applications to the University of Fine Arts Münster is April 10, 2020.
