Helen Cammock: Che si può fare (Max Mara Art Prize for Women)
Mona Osman: Rhizome and the Dizziness of Freedom

Helen Cammock, the winner of the 7th Max Mara Art Prize for Women and joint winner of the Turner Prize 2019, presents Che si può fare at Collezione Maramotti, the result of a 6-month residency in Italy. In the exhibition, Cammock explores the idea of lament in women’s lives, uncovering hidden female voices across histories and geographies through a new body of work, which includes a film, a series of vinyl-cut prints, a screen-printed frieze, and an artist’s book.

The first solo show in Italy of young artist Mona Osman, Rhizome and the Dizziness of Freedom, features a new series of work created specifically for the Collezione Maramotti’s Pattern Room. Working from the idea of combining stories from the Bible with concepts from existentialism, while raising questions rather than offering answers, the exhibition is an intense philosophical and spiritual investigation into the search for Self.

Svenja Deininger: Two Thoughts 
March 8–July 26, 2020
Vienna-based artist Svenja Deininger considers her work to be part of a system that requires its interrelations to be analysed whenever they encounter one another. With Two Thoughts, Collezione Maramotti will feature Deininger’s new works in dialogue with some paintings by Władysław Strzemiński, the Polish avant-garde artist whose Architectural Compositions from the 20s echo Deininger’s research.

Enoc Perez, Brigitte Schindler, Carlo Mollino  
April 19–July 26, 2020
For the Fotografia Europea Festival, Collezione Maramotti will present an exhibition that brings together paintings by Enoc Perez and photographs by Brigitte Schindler and Carlo Mollino, in collaboration with Casa Museo Mollino. The exhibition begins with glimpses of Mollino’s last, mysterious residence in Via Napione (Turin) as transformed by Perez’s brush and Schindler’s lens, ending with Mollino’s own photographs of models, which blur into the enigmatic essence of the imaginary they inhabit.

Ruby Onyinyechi Amanze 
October 11, 2020–February 2021 
Nigerian-born, US-based artist Ruby Amanze will present a series of new works conceived for the Collezione Maramotti’s Pattern Room. Amanze’s practice is central to drawing and works on paper, where she explores space as a malleable construct, creating futuristic dreamscapes with animals, African textiles and constellations. Her works feature mythological, floating creatures playing as an act of revolution, emphasising cultural hybridity or “post-colonial non-nationalism.”
