Film Sector
Programming for the 3rd edition of the Film sector presents an exploration of the intimate and diverse relationship between photography and moving image with a series of 27 films by artists and photographers spanning genres including documentary and fiction and the manipulation of the image. From Koudelka, Daido Moriyama, Dali’s protégé Steven Arnold, Shirin Neshat, Elsa & Johanna to Finnish filmmakers Heikki Aho et Björn Soldan among others. Curated by Matthieu Orléan (La Cinémathèque française) and Pascale Cassagnau (Cnap), the Film sector is presented daily at mk2
Grand Palais cinema and freely accessible to all Paris Photo ticket-holders.

Platform Conversation Series
This year, the Platform conversation series brings together a marathon list of key figures in the field touching on diverse themes in art from architecture and climate change, social politics and gender, emerging art, as well as geographic and technical visions with: Ayana V. Jackson, David Campany, Fannie Escoulen, Hans-Ulrich Obrist, Hélène Binet, Jim Goldberg, Marta Gili, Josef Koudelka, Mari Katayama, Meghann Riepenhoff, Ming Smith, Nate Lewis, Samuel Fosso, Simon Baker, Tyler Mitchell, Victor Burgin, Zanele Muholi, among many others.
Conversations run daily in the Grand Palais auditorium and are presented in both French and English with simultaneous translation available.

The Artist Talks
For more intimate short-format discussions focusing on editorial projects, the Artist Talks presented by The Eyes Magazine welcome 37 artists including Bruce Gilden, Joel Meyerowitz, Joel Sternfeld, Martin Parr, Massimo Vitali, Roger Ballen, Tom Wood, Valerie Belin, our Carte Blanche Students laureates, among others.
The Artist Talks are presented 3 times daily on the Grand Palais balcony in either French or English.

This year more than 330 book signings with today’s leading artists are organized at the fair.
