November 1–3, 2019
Artissima, the International Fair of Contemporary Art is now launching the complete version of its online catalogue. The platform artissima.art offers collectors, art professionals and art lovers the possibility to interactively explore galleries, artists and artworks.
With the project Artissima Digital—beginning in 2017, with the support of Compagnia di San Paolo—the fair offers new tools for in-depth knowledge of its ecosystem, creating a model of immediate contact with its audience, also before and after the event, to provide quality content and become a reference point for the dissemination of contemporary art and culture.
To explore the contents of the fair, once again this year it is possible to consult both the virtual catalogue and the agenda, enabling every visitor to have a preview of Artissima: works, galleries and artists, but also talks, guided tours, prizes, workshops and encounters. By registering visitors can activate their own areas in which to save the content that interests them most, creating their own personal “virtual collection”.
To help people learn more about the world of contemporary art, Artissima 2019 becomes a true magazine of valuable editorial content, using its platform to present the #ArtissimaStories and #ArtissimaPills. Fresh news from the art world, coordinated by Edoardo Bonaspetti and Stefano Cernuschi, with Anna Bergamasco.
The #ArtissimaStories include 10 interviews with personalities from the world of contemporary art discussing the most timely themes of the industry based on their own experience.
Here are the participants for 2019: Ilaria Bonacossa (director of Artissima) and Joanna Kamm (director of LISTE); Fatima Maleki and Karen Levy (collectors); Matteo Consonni (Galleria Madragoa) and Joana Roda (Bombon Projects gallery); Carlos Marsano and Neda Young (collectors); Enrico Polato (Capsule Shanghai gallery) and Carlo Pratis(Galleria Operativa Arte Contemporanea); Giorgio Fasol and Andrea Boghi (collectors); Joumana Asseily (Marfà gallery) and Francisco Fino (Galleria Francisco Fino); Nienke van der Wal and Frédéric de Goldschmidt (collectors); Alberto Zenere, Gloria De Risi, Alessio Baldissera (Fanta-MLN gallery) and Angelina Volk, Leopold Thun (Emalin gallery); Ilaria Leoni (Ermes-Ermes gallery) and Salman Matinfar (ab/anbar gallery).
The #ArtissimaPills—Fresh News from the art world consist of a series of video interviews, with breaking news from the curators of the fair, conducted in an informal way with the use of mobile devices.
Here are the participants in the first edition: Lorenzo Giusti (coordinator, Curatorial Committee of Back to the Future); Lucrezia Calabrò Visconti and Guido Costa (curators of the exhibition Abstract Sex: We don’t have any clothes, only equipment); João Mourão and Luís Silva (curators, Disegni); Vittoria Martini (curator, Artissima Telephone); Ilaria Gianni (coordinator, Curatorial Committee of Present Future).
Together with the interviews, the fair’s blog, with lively, always updated content, engages our audience in an immersive experience through the contributions of the #ArtissimaLive editorial staff: online magazines, bloggers, art websites, all producing live content for the fair. In 2018 the list of participants—coordinated by Elena Bordignon—includes: ATP Diary, Droste Effect, Forme Uniche, Widewalls.
Finally, alongside the bloggers’ area, Artissima will also reprise the #SocialRoom, a physical space in which visitors to the fair can recharge devices and connect to the web: a true charging & working station in close proximity to the booths. In 2019 Artissima introduces another outlet where the visitors to the fair who are active in the world of social media can share live or pre-recorded content. #LivingArtissima, as the name implies, is both a gathering place and a flexible way of fully experiencing the fair.
Artissima looks forward to seeing you in Turin in November!
