Deadline: September 13, 2019
Z33 - House for Contemporary Art, Design & Architecture
Bonnefantenstraat 1
3500 Hasselt
Belgium
In November 2019, Z33 will open a completely renovated exhibition building where the existing building will be renovated and expanded with a new exhibition wing designed by the Italian architect Francesca Torzo. The design completes the beguinage site where, in the coming years, the Master programmes and an international research institute of the Architecture faculty of Hasselt University will also move in, creating a very interesting dynamic at the site around Z33.
The realization of this new building marks both the capstone of an intense, successful pioneering phase, led by artistic director Jan Boelen, and the start of a whole new phase with great ambitions in which the acquired position must be strengthened and serve as a steppingstone for recognition as a Flemish Art Institute. From Hasselt and Genk, Z33 wants to be the international reference point for all of Flanders and the connector for contemporary art, design and architecture in the coming years.
The Board is looking for an artistic director who can write this new and innovative chapter together with a driven team of 25 employees. View the document here.
