For this call, a budget of 1,900,000 EUR has been made available.

Between May 2017 and July 2019, Italian Council awarded 56 projects involving more than 60 countries and 100 international Institutions (see past projects here). With the new edition, the program has become more accessible, international, inclusive and open to a greater number of initiatives.
The call is focused in particularly on:

– Encouraging the development of talents and the international promotion of Italian artists, curators and critics through the financing of projects aimed at the participation in international events and residencies abroad, the realization of monographic exhibitions at foreign cultural institutions and international publishing projects dedicated to Italian contemporary art.
Each proposal must include projects involving a collaboration with international organizations and/or a international promotion phase abroad. The funding cannot exceed 80% of the total amount, with a maximum that varies according to the type of initiative presented.
In order to apply, participants need to register here and submit the application no later than September 30, 2019.
