Based in Geneva, Media Design MA programme offers a two-year professional training, in the field of interaction design for scientific and social innovations. It focuses on technological and societal challenges generated by new interfaces and artificial intelligence.
You will learn how to create interfaces, connected products, games, services and principles of machine learning. You will imagine new applications for digital technologies based on real-world contexts and collaborations with scientists and engineers. These collaborations will allow you to start developing your professional network while discovering various creative approaches. Our seminars are given by professionals from international cultural institutions such as CERN, EPFL or the Victoria & Albert Museum. The second year focuses on the production of your graduation project, which includes a Master’s thesis and a practical project. Supervised by a tutor, you will carry out your project all the way from its design to its actual production.
As a project-based MA programme, we collaborate with brands and cultural institutions. We exhibited projects in international design shows such as Mirage Festival and Milan Design Week, allowing our students to showcase their work in professional environments.
This Master programme also offers you the opportunity to carry out exchange programs internationally as well as participating in awards, allowing you to establish your diploma project into the world of entrepreneurship or research.
For Interaction Design, Industrial Design, Visual Communication or Computer Science graduates, this MA programme will lead to career prospects in the fields of the creative industry, research and entrepreneurship. Our alumni have led international careers in design agencies, becoming Interaction Designer, Creative Director, User Experience Designer or Creative Technologist. Some of our alumni chose the entrepreneurial path and created their startups in Switzerland and The United States such as LiveLike, Tourmaline Studio and Apelab to name a few.
