We are accepting applications for our Dean of Graduate Studies role, which will oversee our Master of Fine Arts in Visual Arts: New Projects and Master of Design in Integrative Design. The Dean will provide the strategic leadership to grow the programs and in support of CCAD’s Strategic Plan, and work collaboratively with the graduate chairs and CCAD faculty to develop new programs. CCAD is looking for an entrepreneurially-minded, creative professional who can manage the connections and promote innovation between graduate studies, real-world projects with external partners, and exhibition programming. In addition, the Dean of Graduate Studies provides oversight in the graduate admissions and assessment of programs. This position will also oversee the renowned Beeler Gallery, a premier exhibition center of contemporary art, and MindMarket, a collaborative space that connects the college with the private sector, government, non-profit and for-profit industries.
We are also hiring an Associate Professor and Chair of Photography. This program also works with other areas of the college such as Film & Video, Advertising & Graphic Design, and CORE studies to provide a robust education that prepares students technically, conceptually, and professionally for meaningful pursuits as commercial or fine art photographers. Successful applicants will have demonstrable leadership and curriculum development skills.
We are also asking for applicants for our Assistant Professor positions for our Fashion Design, Film & Video, and CORE First Year program. Fashion Design and Film & Video candidates will be expected to teach at all levels and across the curriculum of the respective programs. CORE First-year candidates will be working exclusively with first-year students, teaching Visual Literacy I and II, CCAD’s introductory design and color theory courses.
