A global leader in art and design education, Rhode Island School of Design is recognized for its immersive curriculum grounded in studio practice and paired with essential study in the liberal arts. Critical thinking and immersive making co-inform learning and research so as to encourage creative, engaged and ethical experimentation. RISD seeks full-time faculty members dedicated to dynamic and inclusive teaching, a vibrant professional practice and service, collaboration and leadership opportunities in a community committed to the core principles of inclusion and equity. Our faculty teach four to six courses per year, advise students, participate in curriculum development and other divisional activities and projects, serve on college committees, maintain active professional practices and contribute to the vibrancy of intellectual life at RISD.
