Disruptive technologies urge us to reconceptualize what it is to be human while we are becoming cyborgs in symbiosis with machines. ROBOT LOVE investigates this by way of an affirmative approach towards shared love, intelligence, awareness and agency, allowing for frictions to occur. We cannot grasp how robots and artificial intelligences (AI) perceive the world. However, generosity, trust, imagination and responsiveness towards radical other beings are needed to build rapport. It opens up the possibility to consider the un-accountable, the un-decidable, the un-definable. Just like love.
ROBOT LOVE is a large scale, international art & technology exhibition on a spectacular location in Eindhoven, the Netherlands, accompanied by a Cyborg Catwalk, public programs and more. Among the international artists and authors there are several coming from Iran, Eastern Europe and the far East. This is to pay tribute to their knowledge and heritage as far as algorithms, robotics and AI are concerned. Contributions consist mainly of large installations, such as Hito Steyerl’s Hell Yeah We Fuck Die, and new commissioned works from L.A. Raeven and Zoro Feigl, among others. The exhibition covers a large old factory space of 4800m2.
