School of Visual Arts (SVA) presents the MFA Computer Arts open studio fall 2018, bringing together multidisciplinary projects from our students. The event will be open to the public on November 27 at 6pm in the MFA Computer Arts Studio.

The creative work encompasses a wide range of media including video, animation, design, and interactive installations. “Art and technology have always been fantastic partners in creativity and our latest student works offer some great examples on that intersection,” states department chair Terrence Masson.

Exhibiting artists: Kelsie Hoffman, Tiger Mackie, Santiago Messier, Devan Worth, and Shuai Xu.

The MFA Computer Arts Studio is shared among students interested in building interactive, multidisciplinary and installation art projects. The space also includes a workshop/classroom for students to construct their work.

School of Visual Arts MFA Computer Arts emphasizes creative experimentation and a multidisciplinary approach to making art with computers and emerging technologies. Dedicated to producing digital artists of the highest caliber, the department guides each student in the development of a personal artistic style in a course of study that is individually tailored to meet his or her needs. Students come from around the world to study in this two ­year MFA degree program, which has distinguished itself with nine Student Academy Awards. Please visit mfaca.sva.edu.
