Artissima 2018: Highlights
The 25th edition of Artissima, the only fair in Italy exclusively focused on contemporary art, came to an end on Sunday, November 4. Directed by Ilaria Bonacossa, the event is a truly unmissable contemporary art gathering on a worldwide level. Why? Read below.

35 countries, 195 galleries (79 Italian and 116 international), 47 first time exhibitors, 8 sections (4 curated), over 1,000 works of art, 350 curators and museum directors, 5,500 collectors from 30 countries (12 outside of Europe), 54,800 visitors (+2,800 over to 2017).
Sound—the first new offsite section
A surprising journey through 15 sound installations in the spectacular venue of the OGR – Officine Grandi Riparazioni.

Artissima Junior
The vital Garden created with energy and fantasy by 750 children together with artist Alek O. and the ZonArte network.
DAF Struttura
A four-day experience, a stage, a workspace, a thinktank, an archive, a radio station, and a recording studio for 25 students and the public. A prelude to an even wider ranging educational project to be developed throughout the year.
Starred restaurant
Fresh produce, wild herbs and culinary tradition, thanks to refined technical and creative inventions of the award-winning chef Mariangela Susigan of the Gardenia restaurant in Caluso.
VIP Lounge
An exclusive space on the balcony overlooking the fair under the metaphorical sky of Roberto Coda Zabetta.

A tribute to a unique artist

Three performative dinners
Sequential chapters of a single story directed by Massimo Bartolini in collaboration with starred chefs Costardi Bros.
Drawing lessons
Led by Marzia Migliora, they involved art lover students in a new experience, poised between creation and contemplation of contemporary art.
Walkie Talkies
A wander around the fair with top curators and collectors, including Milovan Farronato, Frances Reynolds, Claire Tancons, Ramin Salsali, Mari Spitito and Sevda Elgiz.
Guided tours
Six tours per day focused on different themes that helped art lovers discover the fair in an engaging way.
Meeting Point
19 encounters that celebrated our 25th anniversary stimulating multiple reflections on “time” and the many experiences that connect art to this dimension of awareness.
