4717 invites four artists to create new commissions, alongside the showing of Ursula Mayer’s multilayered Gonda (2012), a work from the LUX collection. A moving image piece that delves into concepts of the individual, collectivity, narrative, and subjectivity, Gonda acts as a catalyst for artistic commissions and considers how the exhibition can be as much a site of active production as of display and seeks to question how a collection can be reanimated in a digital age.

Gasworks partnership: Who cares? A radio tale 
Thursday, May 10, 6–9pm & Sunday, May 13, 12–3pm

Who cares? A radio tale turns Gasworks into a live broadcast studio in collaboration with the renowned experimental radio station Resonance FM. A programme of newly commissioned and existing performances, sound works and discussions invites audiences to think about affective labour, the unrecognised emotional work that exists in all parts of life. Tune in, log on or turn up!

Stanhope partnership: Every Second In Between

Every Second In Between is a temporary public art project commissioned for White City, a recently regenerated area with an extensive history of temporal changes. Korean artist Kyung Hwa Shon will challenge existing social and cultural rhythms and flows with visually vibrant installations distributed over multiple sites.

The Design Museum Partnership: Alt-Age: Designing Belief

Every minute new conspiracy theories are born online. To coincide with the Design Museum exhibition Hope to Nope: Graphics & Politics 2008-18, the Alt-Age: Designing Belief one-day festival, comprising live performances and a symposium, investigates the role of memes and online message boards in constructing and concealing truth.

Curating Contemporary Art (CCA)
Established 25 years ago and led by Professor Victoria Walsh the MA Curating Contemporary Art (CCA) programme is recognised as an international leader in curatorial education and training and for its commitment to collaborative group project-based work that integrates theory and practice throughout the two years of the curriculum. The CCA programme approaches the field critically, theoretically and through best practice in commissioning, curating and programming with London-based and international arts organisations and spaces. These partnerships ensure that the knowledge and understanding of these practices is grounded in the context of public audiences, urbanisation and the digital. This year’s graduate project course has been led by Kelly Large with project tutors, Ben Cranfield and Rebecca Heald.  CCA is part of the RCA’s School of Arts and Humanities led by Professor Juan Cruz.
