Hours: Thursday–Sunday 12–8pm,
Friday 12–9pm
From April 5 to 8, 2018, Art Paris Art Fair celebrates its 20th anniversary, bringing together 142 galleries from 22 different countries at the Grand Palais
Since its creation in 1999, Art Paris Art Fair has became the leading modern and contemporary spring art event in Paris. A perfect place for discovery and rediscovery, the fair combines a region-by-region exploration of European art from the post-war years to the present day and a cosmopolitan perspective on the new horizons of international creation from Latin America, Africa, Asia and the Middle East.
Alongside the main exhibition programme, the fair will present an overview of the French art scene, juxtaposing the subjective, historical and critical perspective of the exhibition curator and art critic François Piron. Switzerland is the guest of honour of the 2018 edition. Art historian and exhibition curator Karine Tissot has been entrusted with the Switzerland Guest of Honour programme. This spotlight will endeavour to promote the wealth and diversity of the Swiss scene with a selection of around one hundred artists represented by either Swiss or European galleries, a programme of videos projected on the façade of the Grand Palais and in the Project Room, not forgetting a presentation of Helvetia Art Collection’s latest acquisitions.
In addition, Art Paris Art Fair will present 36 monographic exhibitions in Solo Show and emerging artists in Promises.
The Switzerland guest of Honour programme has received the support of the Swiss Embassy in France. The video art programme is supported by Vidélio.
