The curators for this year’s exhibition are gallery Director Leigh Conner and Assistant Director Karyn Miller. As in previous years, the curators kept pace with a rigorous January to June BFA /MFA exhibition schedule, attending each exhibition and following up with studio visits. After viewing the works in person and talking to the artists about their ideas, the curators brought together a profile of area art programs in order to present a vital survey of the concepts and aesthetics prevalent the Washington/Baltimore region schools.
The exhibition opens Friday, August 4th with a reception for the artists from 6:00 – 8:00 pm. There will be a curator/artist Q A podcast available for download the second week of August @ http://www.itunes.com
