Daniele Buetti has always had a socio-political approach to the present day, constantly searching for interfaces through which life meets art, and considering his role as a designer as something of a mission to explore the extreme. He carries out this mission with a passionate commitment to his work, which, even if it doesn´t make the modern era more bearable for us, nevertheless enables us to understand it better.
To further develop his concept of “false scars”, Buetti makes holes in his images taken from the world of magazines, and then shines light through them. In this twilight world between appearance and reality the visitor is confronted by a series of slogans which implore them to consider such issues as a “Is life really worth living?” or “Can I ever achieve satisfaction?”. Buetti effectively presents us with these key existential questions, those of real human desires which risk being submerged in consumerism.
