Vasilena Gankovska works with clear forms, simplified in colours and shape. She often leaves white segments or drawing sketches in the canvas in order to make the structure of the space visible while using the painting itself as a tool for observation and analysis. Vasilena Gankovska reduces forms to abstract figures and creates a new picture language. The projection area is white ground-coated, which is also a part of the painting and which, as background, has the same importance as the other painting components.
