gdm continues to pursue the double ambition it has cultivated since its inception: to make contemporary art more accessible by producing artists‘ multiples. Over the years the gallery has brought together an ever-increasing array of artists of different nationalities, generations, degrees of celebrity, and different universes in the same exhibition space.
In 2010–2011 we produced multiples by Monica Bonvicini, Leonor Antunes, Bojan Sarcevic, Renée Levi, Stefan Nikolaev, Loïc Raguénès, Alix Lambert, Morgane Tschiember, Claude Rutault, Saâdane Afif, Matthew McCaslin … and presented all these multiples in group shows at the gallery and at the international fairs in which we participated—the Armory Show, Art Brussels, Art Hong Kong, Art 41 Basel, Fiac, and Artissima.
The latest gdm edition perfectly illustrates our ambition: in conjunction with the release of American musician and writer Jeff Rian’s album, we have produced a box that unites the CD and vinyl recordings (executive producers: Dike Blair and Richard Prince) with a limited edition of 10 artists’ works: Vito Acconci, Lewis Baltz, Dike Blair, Stéphane Dafflon, Marcelline Delbecq, Anders Edström, Véronique Joumard, Richard Prince, Alain Séchas, and Jean-Luc Vilmouth. Every artwork is numbered and signed by every artist.
