Artis Announces 2012 Grant Program for Exhibitions and Professional Development

Artis, an independent nonprofit that supports and promotes contemporary visual artists from Israel internationally, is pleased to announce a call for applications for 2012 Exhibition and Professional Development Grants. Established in 2007, the program’s aim is to further cultural exchange, dialogue and access to contemporary art from Israel.

Exhibition Grants
Exhibition Grants are awarded for exhibitions of work by artists from Israel. Priority is given to high impact, high visibility solo or group exhibitions that reach broad audiences outside of Israel, as well as projects initiated by Artis Curatorial Research Trip alumni. International institutions, independent curators, and artists are invited to apply.

Professional Development Grants
A new category, Professional Development Grants are now available to contemporary visual arts professionals from Israel including directors, curators, and administrators.

Artis awards 100,000 USD annually, with an average grant of 2,500 USD. Please refer to the Artis Program page for guidelines and application. 2012 applications are due April 11 and October 10.
