About the artist
Over the past decade, Michael Riedel’s practice has incorporated a wide range of media and included large-scale works on canvas, fabric works, film and video, audio recordings, artists books, posters, installations, and events. Born in 1972, Riedel is currently based in Frankfurt, where he will have a major solo exhibition at the Schirn Kunsthalle in June. Read more about the artist here.

James Lawrence is a critic and historian of postwar and contemporary art. His recent articles and essays include studies of Donald Judd, Robert Rauschenberg, Richard Serra, and Rachel Whiteread. He is a frequent contributor to The Burlington Magazine, and his scholarship will be included in David Zwirner’s forthcoming Fred Sandback exhibition catalogue.
About the exhibition
On view until April 21, this exhibition features a selection of important sculptures and drawings by Fred Sandback (1943–2003) from each decade of the artist’s singular and influential career. Read more about the artist here.
