TRIAD: Towards Regional Integration
of Artistic Development
December 2012 marks the launch of TRIAD: Towards Regional Integration of Artistic Development. London-centred, but also a nomadic project, TRIAD is a non-profit organisation supporting international galleries and collectives by offering the chance to participate in an exhibition programme.
TRIAD is pleased to announce the exhibition with Sumakshi Singh from 7th to 14th December 2012 in the Design District – Miami.
Singh is an emerging artist represented by Exhibit 320, a dynamic young gallery based in New Delhi which invests in supporting the development of its artists’ career, emphasising the creation of new thoughts and ideas through the use of new media, aesthetic exploration and furthering visual dialogue.
TRIAD offers an alternative and supportive way to explore the potential of the London and international art world environment within a curated project focused on the development of contemporary art practices.
Artists and projects represented by galleries and collectives are selected by TRIAD’s Curatorial Committee and called to exhibit by invitation only.
The Curatorial Committee lends both credibility to inclusion within the projects’ fold, as well as conceptual support to the exhibition’s development. Six internationally recognised curators are members of TRIAD’s Curatorial Committee, consisting of Cecile Bourne-Farrell, Claire Breukel, Christine Eyene, Gabriela Salgado, Veeranganakumari Solanki and Maxa Zoller, with TRIAD’s directors Mariateresa Setaro, Irene Due and Mariangela Capuzzo.
Participants will have an opportunity to reach a targeted international audience of art professionals, institutions and collectors; debuting and fostering their artists in the most dynamic centres of the professional art world. It is within this framework that emerging and mid-career artists will gain international visibility and institutional versatility.
TRIAD envisions the potential of regional integration geared to advance the sharing of projects and collecting beyond limitations of city or state. Therefore, TRIAD works with public and private institutions to fundraise its projects, effectively supporting the participant galleries and collectives.
TRIAD exhibitions’ programme will show six exhibitions per year. Exhibitions will be enhanced with a tailored programme of lectures, tours, and artist’s presentations in exploring the overarching themes and curatorial conversations of the project. The TRIAD Award, a solo exhibition, will be presented to a selected artist by the Curatorial Committee once a year.
Galleries and collectives with an interest in participating may contact TRIAD for more information at info [at] thetriad.org.uk by 31st October 2012.
