After a successful pilot project last year, where selected Danish galleries invited their international colleagues to participate at the fair, Art Copenhagen now invites all international galleries to apply for participation in the 2013 edition.

Art Copenhagen has existed since 1997 and is the leading Scandinavian art fair, presenting the best of the Nordic contemporary art scene. The fair’s 70–80 participating galleries are both up-and-coming and established galleries. An area dedicated to Nordic museums and exhibition venues is also present at the fair as well as a stage program with art talks, performances and debates.

Art Copenhagen is not only an international marketplace of contemporary art, but also an art fair with a friendly atmosphere, where networking with other galleries and collectors is very easy.

All participating galleries will have their collectors invited to the international Art Copenhagen Collectors Program, offering visits to Danish private collections, various social events and especially a Gallery Night, where Copenhagen galleries will be open, presenting special events for foreign gallery-owners, invited collectors and the general public, a perfect way to experience the exciting Danish art scene and the vibrant nightlife.

All foreign galleries receive a 20% introduction discount on the booth rental, and the fair also features a special talent gallery category. After their admittance to Art Copenhagen, selected galleries will be asked to participate in the Solo Show program. The selection will be made by the Fair Committee of Art Copenhagen, consisting of Nordic gallery-owners and collectors.

Art Copenhagen is situated in the center of Copenhagen, 15 km from the airport and with easy Metro access.
