We are thrilled to announce that for the March/April 2013 issue, Flash Art International will feature a brand new design—a clean and fresh look accompanied by new features and ideas.
Flash Art will maintain the strong content that is expected by our loyal readers. Flash Art’s new identity was led by Art Director Maciej Tajber in collaboration with Studio Massimo Pitis. The new design has aimed to keep in line with the spirit and history that Flash Art created 46 years ago, allowing content to be more coherent and expressive.
Editor’s Notes
Flash Art is a bi-monthly magazine focusing on contemporary art. It was founded in Rome in 1967 by Italian publisher and art critic Giancarlo Politi. The magazine has been based in Milan since 1971. Originally a bilingual publication, it was split in two separate editions, Flash Art Italia and Flash Art International, in 1978 when Helena Kontova joined the editorial team. It also publishes Flash Art Czech & Slovak Edition and Flash Art Hungary. In 1993, Giancarlo Politi published the catalogue of Aperto 93, a section of the Venice Biennale organized by Helena Kontova. In 2003 they started Prague Biennale in Czech Republic, of which they have been the directors ever since.
