VIENNAFAIR The New Contemporary will confirm Vienna as a hub for contemporary culture, open to art connoisseurs and the public at large alike. A strong view towards the East, 127 galleries from all over Europe and beyond and an elaborate program of side events, talks, artistic interactions and themed exhibitions will leave nobody indifferent.

VIENNAFAIR The New Contemporary showcases content from North, Central and South Eastern Europe, which is unique in the world and which makes this fair different from any competitor, offering a platform for art, artists and art institutions from regions rarely featured in the art world.

Discover the vibrant culture of Georgia and Poland in Vienna Duet; get to know the latest trends in art collecting in the series of talks and debates “20 four 7″ or get introduced to the work of young Austrian artists in Zone 1; VIENNAFAIR The New Contemporary offers something new to discover every day!

This year VIENNAFAIR The New Contemporary is once again greatly pleased to be able to develop exciting special presentations with its long-standing partners. OMV has expanded its focus this year from Turkey to Romania and the young art scene in the Caspian region; in support of young Austrian art, BM:UKK is helping to bring greater international attention to the lively domestic art scene; Erste Bank continues to provide a platform for galleries from Eastern and Southeastern Europe to expand to the West.

Christina Steinbrecher-Pfandt and Vita Zaman, artistic directors of VIENNAFAIR The New Contemporary, have developed an innovative and experimental series of side projects, big and small, ambitious and shy, provocative and poetic. You can find out everything about the different projects here: viennafair.at/visitors/special-projects.

Vienna, with its high number of internationally active galleries who are renowned for their unique focus on Eastern European artists and galleries, is welcoming the global art community to enjoy a truly attractive celebration of contemporary art on the banks of the majestic Danube. Welcome to Vienna!
