We are pleased to announce the gallery selection for the 17th edition of Paris Photo, which will be held November 14 to 17 at the Grand Palais in Paris.

Private collection: exhibitions
Paris Photo invites this year one of the most important contemporary art collectors in Europe: Harald Falckenberg.

The Falckenberg Collection comprises over 2,000 works of contemporary art which are shown on 6,000 square feet in a former factory building in Hamburg. Since 2011, the Falckenberg Collection is part of Deichtorhallen Hamburg, one of Europe’s leading exhibition centres for contemporary art and photography.

Recent acquisitions: exhibitions
Paris Photo invites three international institutions to present their recent photographic acquisitions highlighting the different acquisition strategy of each museum.

Open Book: exhibitions
This year Paris Photo puts forward the protest books.

The exhibition gathers books from the collection of Martin Parr. They mainly have been published after WW2 in Japan, Latin America but also in Europe. These books can both be considered as pieces documenting protest movements, and as a form of protest themselves.
