Allen Jones (b. 1937) is one of the most significant British artists on the international stage. With his college friends R.B. Kitaj, Peter Phillips and David Hockney, he participated in the development of a new attitude to figuration in 1961, which became a major stepping stone in the history of Pop Art. The contemplation of the topics fetishism and obsession are evident in Jones’ exploration and depiction of dance and sport imagery, which exploit the tension between figuration and gestural abstraction.

On show will be new works on paper and canvas, sculptures and editions.  An exhibition catalogue is being published at Kerber Verlag, which will also be available.
