miart 2014, organized by Fiera Milano, is pleased to announce the 148 international galleries that will participate in the 19th edition of the fair, held from 28 to 30 March at Pavilion 3 of fieramilanocity.
With the 2014 edition, miart confirms its place on the circuit of the leading European contemporary art events. In its second year under the direction of Vincenzo de Bellis, the level of international exhibitors has increased to 45%, from 20 countries, selected from the most outstanding exponents in this sector.
Here is the list of exhibitors of the four sections of the fair: Established (galleries of modern and contemporary art), Emergent (20 young galleries selected by Andrew Bonacina, Chief Curator, The Hepworth, Wakefield), THENnow (8 pairs of artists of different generations compared, curated by Giovanni Carmine, Director, Kunst Halle Sankt Gallen and Alexis Vaillant, Chief Curator, CAPC Bordeaux) and Object (devoted to modern and contemporary limited-edition design, curated by Federica Sala, Partner PS Design Consultants, Milan), as well as the special project for miart 2014 Conflux, curated by Abaseh Mirvali, independent producer & curator, presenting a selection of galleries from Latin America, the Middle East and Europe.
